Since my next paycheck is a few weeks off, here are a few things I was going to take care of with my refund check today:

1. Apply for passport
2. Buy textbooks and supplies
3. Buy digital camera
4. Pay the money I owe to my mother
5. Pay the money I owe to my roommate
6. Buy tickets to a play

Things that did not get done today because the university is run by baboons:

1. Apply for passport
2. Buy textbooks and supplies
3. Buy digital camera
4. Pay the money I owe to my mother
5. Pay the money I owe to my roommate
6. Buy tickets to a play

AARGH!

Okay, false alarm. Based on Jeff's suggestion (and some of Blogger's shortcomings), I have decided to continue posting to LJ.

Unfortunately I don't have much else going on, so that's about it for this post.

Haven't updated in a while... for those few who enjoy my ramblings, I guess I owe them one. ;-)

Not much going on really.  I took my English 545 final this morning, it was pretty easy.  I'm pretty sure I can pull an A on it.  I got my essay back too, just a few points shy of an A (which is a hell of a lot better than expected, considering my thesis totally fell apart halfway through writing the paper).  I missed a few classes, and hence a few quizzes, hopefully I can still eke out a good grade in the class.

I've got a lot on my mind.  This may come as a huge surprise to some (and not to others), but I'm really bummed about computer science.  My heart really isn't in it any more.  When my Dad graduated high school (seven years before he went to college) he really liked working on cars, so he got a job at a car dealership as a mechanic for a few years.  Over time, he gradually got to the point where he hated working on his own cars, and decided to go to college.  I kinda feel the same way (although it's cost me a hell of a lot more money)... I'm getting burned out on one of my hobbies.

There's a few other things too, things that I'm not particularly interested in documenting here.  Anyone who's interested, feel free to pick my brain the next time you see me.  I need to get a few things out of my head, but I don't think LJ is an appropriate medium.

All things considered though, I guess I'm not doing too bad.  I'm looking forward to a (hopefully) peaceful party at the end of the week, and then heading home (for almost a MONTH!) on Monday.  Next Thursday, my Grandfather flies in from Indiana, and Dory will be in Wichita so we can go see King Kong (I'm stoked, in both respects!).

A final thought... if I ever teach a class in any subject, at any level, there will be no textbook.  I will provide a long list of Wikipedia articles instead.  Wikipedia rocks hard; indeed, very hard.

What a day... Kicked it off early to finish a paper, then did the CIS 540 presentation thing... and out team got 10 over the baseline score! WOOHOO! I'm glad we were able to redeem ourselves after we got reamed on the second presentation.

Tonight should be fun. I'm going to a concert with Dory, preceded by dinner with her *GASP* parents.... Film at 11, wish me luck that I don't act like a total tool (which I have been prone to do in the past).

One to remember...

I just experienced the single finest evening I've had since I started college, and perhaps one of the very greatest nights of my life.

There's not much else I can say. It was amazing.

Windows Server 2003 is complete and total garbage. There is absolutely no way to refute this; God has decreed it, and I agree wholeheartedly.
